SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) UC Santa Barbara basketball players Larry Bell and Eric Hare were reinstated Tuesday by UC Santa Barbara athletic director Gary Cunningham after a two-month suspension.

Bell, a senior guard who started 18 games last season, and Hare, a redshirt freshman forward, pleaded innocent in Superior Court last month to misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property and fraudulent use of a telephone calling card.

Bell, 22, and Hare, 20, were arrested on Nov. 10 and accused of running up more than $3,000 in charges by using a telephone calling card that didn't belong to them. They were released after posting $5,000 bail apiece.

A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 11.
