BERLIN, March 23 (Reuters) - Munich Barons' Canadian player Bill McDougall was given an eight-month ban by the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) on Thursday after failing a dope test.

McDougall, 34, tested positive for the banned stimulant pseudo-ephedrine after a German league game last January. His suspension runs until November 7.
