LONDON (Ticker) -- Running back Rafael Cooper of the Amsterdam Admirals and the Rhein Fire defense captured the weekly honors in NFL Europe for the period ending June 9, the league announced on Tuesday.

Allocated by the Tennessee Titans, Cooper equalled a league record with four rushing touchdowns and gained 169 yards on 30 carries in Amsterdam's 45-31 win over Barcelona last Saturday.

"If somebody had told me up front that the league record for touchdowns in a game is four I would have run a little harder and scored five," Cooper said.

Defensive honors went to a Rhein defense that stifled Frankfurt in a 3-0 victory on Saturday which clinched a berth in World Bowl X.

Rhein held the Galaxy to nine first downs and 83 passing yards.

"It was a fine performance by our defense and it's impossible to single out individual players to praise for the shutout," Fire coach Pete Kuharchek said.

Special teams honors went to Gabe Lindstrom of Frankfurt, who punted 10 times for 440 yards.

The National Player of the Week is German defensive back Lelan Brickus, who had an interception in Berlin's 24-23 win over the Scottish Claymores.
