NEW YORK (AP) America's Cup teams will return to Newport, R.I., this month for two important tuneups for the latest edition of yacht racing's top event. The New York Yacht Club is set as official host of the UBS Challenge U.S. Championships July 27-29 and the Challenge Finals July 31-Aug. 4. Newport was home of the America's Cup from 1930-1983. The winners of six regional qualifying races in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Houston and Boston will compete in the championships, with the three top finishers advancing to the finals against America's Cup teams. The UBS Challenge Finals is the second event of professional sailing's Swedish Match Tour.
