Linden, Good Take Texas League Weekly Honors

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Ticker) -- Shreveport Swamp Dragons outfielder Todd Linden and El Paso Diablos righthander Andrew Good were named the Texas League's Player and Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Linden, who won the award for the second time this season, hit .500 (10-for-20) with a home run and seven RBI in six games. He had three doubles, scored five runs, had a phenomenal .615 on-base percentage and an .800 slugging percentage.

The 22-year-old, who was a first round selection in the 2001 draft, combined to go 5-for-7 with a home run and five RBI in a 7-3 defeat and a 16-3 victory in a doubleheader at Arkansas on Saturday. He also went 4-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs in a 10-9 defeat versus the Travelers on Thursday.

Good tossed his first shutout of the season, earning a win in his eighth consecutive decision during an 11-0 blowout of Midland on Thursday. He was perfect through four innings and allowed just six hits, while striking out seven batters without issuing a walk.

Good, 22, is 9-3 with a 2.81 ERA and has fanned 79 batters while walking just 17 in 115 1/3 innings.
