AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) The Detroit Fury announced on Tuesday that they will not renew head coach Mouse Davis' contract for the 2003 season. The Arena Football team also said it will not renew the contracts of assistant coaches Rod Humenuik, Malvin Hunter, Tom Menas and Rich Stubler. Davis, who led the Fury to a 1-13 record this year, will continue to serve in an advisory capacity. The Fury were 7-7 in their inaugural season and qualified for postseason play. "Mouse did an absolutely terrific job in establishing the Fury and delivering a playoff team in our expansion year last season," general manager Greg Myford said. "Obviously, we took a step backward this year, and ... now is the time to make adjustments."
