CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Indiana Firebirds fullback Leroy Thompson, Tampa Bay Storm defensive specialist John Williams and Grand Rapids Rampage receiver/defensive back Willis Marshall were named the Arena League's Players of the Week on Wednesday.

Thompson gained Offensive Player of the Week honors after running for 24 yards on six carries and tying a league record with five touchdowns.

A six-year AFL veteran, Thompson has 10 touchdowns and 117 yards on 37 carries this season.

Williams took home the league's Defensive Player of the Week honor after recording five solo tackles, 11 assists, two forced fumbles and two pass breakups in Tampa Bays' 67-61 overtime victory over Georgia.

Marshall earned the league's Ironman award by catching seven passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns and returning six kicks for 118 yards as Grand Rapids sneaked by Detroit, 63-60. He ended the season 10th in the league with 80 receptions.

On the defensive side, Marshall had six tackles and a fumble recovery.
