NEW ROCHELLE, New York (Ticker) -- Gloria Park and Annika Sorenstam share the lead heading into Sunday's final round of the LPGA Sybase Big Apple Classic. Just 35th on the money list, Park carded an 8-under-par 63 at the Wykagyl Country Club on Saturday to tie Sorenstam atop the leaderboard. Park, who earned her only career victory last year at the Williams Championship, and Sorenstam completed 54 holes at 12-under 201. They hold a two-shot advantage over reigning Rookie of the Year Hee-Won Han of Korea, who will be playing in the final group for the first time in her career. Han carded a 5-under 66, leaving her two strokes ahead of Australia's Karrie Webb. Second-round leader Kelli Kuehne struggled to a 2-over 73 and dropped into a four-way tie for fifth with a Diana D'Alessio, Beth Daniel and Nancy Scranton. In the driver's seat for a fifth Player of the Year award, Sorenstam already has won six times in 13 starts this season. She began the day three shots behind Kuehne. Sorenstam has earned $1,894,054 this year, almost $800,000 more than Juli Inkster, who is second on the money list. Sorenstam matched Park with eight birdies, but a bogey on No. 10 -- where she drove into the water and missed a 12-foot putt -- cost her sole possession of the lead. Still, Sorenstam put together one of her dramatic charges, birdying three of the final four holes and playing the back in 5-under. Sorenstam rebounded from the bogey at No. 10 to sink a 14-foot birdie putt on No 11, then added birdies on Nos. 13, 15 17 and 18. She closed in style, converting putts of nearly 20 feet on each of the last two holes. Sorenstam feels conditions have improved since Thursday's first round -- and that could spell trouble for the rest of the field Sunday. Sorenstam will be the clear favorite Sunday, but she doesn't know if Park will be intimidated. "I'm not going to speculate," Sorenstam said. "You can ask her. I'm just going to play my game and am not going to worry about anything else." Park did not appear intimidated Saturday, carding a bogey-free round. She was especially tough around the greens, making five birdie putts inside five feet, including a pair of tap-ins. Park's longest putts Saturday were an 18-footer on No. 12 and a 16-footer on No. 16 after hitting a "fat" 4-iron. Defending champion Rosie Jones posted a 68 and is tied for 14th, nine shots off the pace. The par-71 Wykagyl Country Club is a 6,161-yard layout. First prize is $142,500.
