CARDIFF, Wales (AP) Undefeated WBO super-middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe is set to face Puerto Rico's Miguel Jimenez on Aug. 17 in Cardiff, Wales. It will be the 11th title defense for the Calzaghe, who has held the crown since 1997. The fight was announced in early June, although it took until Tuesday to finalize a challenger. "The opponent is finally confirmed and I can now finish my preparations," Calzaghe said. "I have seen tapes of Jimenez and he looks a real tough, hard case." "He (Jimenez) has never been dropped or stopped in his career, which gives me that extra incentive to be the first to do it." Calzaghe's promoter, Frank Warren, said he has been promised a fight by Don King with WBC middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins. "This is a tough fight for Joe and there can be no slip-ups," Warren said. "I have agreed terms with Don King for Joe to have his showdown with Bernard Hopkins, so this is a massive incentive for him to put on a superb performance."
