MARIETTA, Georgia (Ticker) -- Jacksonville Suns catcher Koyie Hill and righthander Scott Proctor on Friday were named Southern League Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. Hill hit .611 (11-for-18) with four doubles, a homer and three RBI in five games. He scored seven runs and posted a 1.000 slugging percentage and .650 on-base percentage. The 23-year-old highlighted his week with six hits during Monday's doubleheader sweep of Mobile. He went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored in the opener and hit a solo homer and scored the eventual winning run in the nightcap. Proctor pitched seven scoreless innings in his only outing of the week Tuesday as the Suns rolled to a 6-0 victory over the BayBears. He yielded just three hits while striking out 11 and walking two. He retired 14 of the first 15 batters he faced, including 13 in a row at one point. The 25-year-old Proctor is 5-7 with a 3.36 ERA in 20 starts this season.
