DALLAS (Ticker) -- Dallas Stars center Jason Arnott on Sunday became the latest player to win his arbitration case, getting a two-year, $7.5 million contract.

Arnott will be paid $3.65 million next season, an increase of more than 40 percent over his 2001-02 salary of $2.6 million. He will receive $3.85 million in 2003-04.

"We're happy to have this process behind us and excited to have Jason under contract for the next two seasons as a valuable member of the organization," Stars general manager Doug Armstrong said. "We accept the arbitrator's decision as a neutral party."

Arnott reaped a windfall despite an injury-plagued season in which he had 25 goals and 20 assists in 73 games. Dallas acquired him from the New Jersey Devils on March 19 in a four-player trade involving Joe Nieuwendyk.

The 27-year-old Arnott scored the Stanley Cup-winning goal for the Devils in double overtime at Dallas in June 2000 and was third in the NHL in playoff scoring that year with 20 points.

A six-time 20-goal scorer, the former first-round draft choice had his best season in 1993-94 when he collected 33 goals and 35 assists for the Edmonton Oilers.

On Saturday, Vancouver Canucks center Brendan Morrison and Calgary Flames defenseman Denis Gauthier won their arbitration cases. Arnott's victory gave players a 3-0 edge with 23 hearings remaining.
