ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Shannon Johnson scored 18 points as the Orlando Miracle beat the Portland Fire 63-61 Sunday night. Jesse Hicks gave Orlando (14-14) a 62-61 lead with 24 seconds remaining when she made one of two free throws. The Fire, who had 18 turnovers, never got a chance at a game-tying shot. With 10 seconds left, Sylvia Crawley attempted a cross-court pass that went awry, striking Tamicha Jackson on the arm before Johnson grabbed it. "I knew they were going to try and get the ball to Jackson," Johnson said. "Fortunately, I was able to go get it when it was loose. It's as good as scoring a last second basket to win." Alisa Burras led Portland (16-13) with 16 points. It was Portland's first road loss in five games against Eastern Conference teams. "We just couldn't finish at the end," Portland coach Linda Hargrove said. "We gave ourselves a chance to get back into it and have a chance to win."
