New Haven's Gall, Parrott Take Eastern League Honors

PORTLAND, Maine (Ticker) -- New Haven Ravens first baseman John Gall and righthander Rhett Parrott on Monday were named the Eastern League Player and Pitcher of the Week.

Gall hit .400 (10-for-25) with three doubles, three homers and eight RBI in seven games during the week. He scored five runs and posted an .880 slugging percentage and a .516 on-base percentage.

Gall homered in three of his last four games and has driven in seven runs over his last four games. The 24-year-old has established a franchise record with his league-leading 39 doubles this season.

Parrott went 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA in two starts. He yielded three runs and 11 hits while striking out eight and walking three in 16 innings.

Parrott allowed just one run in seven innings in an 8-2 victory over Trenton on Monday. He then allowed just two runs and six hits in a 9-2 victory at Portland on Saturday as he recorded his second complete game win in only four starts with the Ravens.
