DETROIT (AP) The Detroit Red Wings signed left wing Bryan Adams, defensemen Patrick Boileau and Ed Campbell, goaltender Marc Lamothe and center Mark Mowers on Monday. Last season, Adams, 25, had 10 goals and 17 assists in 64 games with Chicago of the AHL. The former Michigan State forward also played 11 games for the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999-2000 season. Boileau, 27, played last season for Portland of the AHL, recording 17 goals and 19 assists. In seven games with the Washington Capitals, Boileau had one assist. Campbell, 27, was in 70 games, scoring three goals and setting up 15 others for Worcester of the AHL last season. Lamothe, 28, played two games with the Chicago Blackhawks. Last season, he played 45 for the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, posting a 17-19-36 record. Mowers, 28, spent time in the AHL and NHL last season. With Milwaukee of the AHL, Mowers had 19 goals and 20 assists. In 14 games with the Nashville Predators, he had one goal and two assists.
