Mighty Ducks Sign Salei To Two-Year Contract

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) Defenseman Ruslan Salei agreed to terms of a two-year contract with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Salei, who played for Belarus in the 2002 Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City, had four goals and seven assists in 82 games for the Ducks last season.

Salei, taken by Anaheim as the ninth overall selection in the 1996 entry draft, has 17 goals and 42 assists in 373 NHL games - all with the Ducks.
