MIAMI (AP) The Miami Heat re-signed 7-foot center Vladimir Stepania on Tuesday.

Stepania, who signed as a free agent in October, averaged 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in a career-high 67 games last season, including four starts.

The first NBA player from the Republic of Georgia, Stepania was the No. 27 pick in the 1998 draft by the Seattle SuperSonics and has spent time with the New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets.

Terms were not disclosed.
