NEW YORK (AP) The New York Rangers signed defenseman Joel Bouchard, who played one game with the New Jersey Devils last season.

The 28-year-old Bouchard spent most of 2001-02 with the Albany River Rats of the AHL. In 70 games, he had nine goals and 22 assists.

In 277 career NHL games with five teams, Bouchard has 15 goals, 30 assists and 217 penalty minutes.
