FREDERICK, Md. (AP) Colorado Rockies' prospect Kip Bouknight threw a no-hitter in the Salem Avalanche's 5-0 win over Frederick in the Class A Carolina League on Wednesday night.

Bouknight struck out eight, walked three and hit two with pitches. Only four Keys batters hit the ball out of the infield.

Bouknight, 23, was the Rockies' 13th-round pick in the 2001 draft.
