INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Tamika Catchings matched her franchise record with 32 points and had 12 rebounds as the Indiana Fever beat the Orlando Miracle 70-63 on Wednesday night. Catchings, the rookie star from Tennessee who leads the WNBA in scoring, was 5-of-9 from 3-point range to help Indiana (14-15) move into a fourth-place tie with Orlando in the Eastern Conference. "This is what we've been waiting for," Catchings said. "This is definitely what the franchise has been talking about since we've come around." She scored 22 points in the first half, 13 in a 3½-minute span. "You saw, in my mind, the MVP of this league tonight," Fever coach Nell Fortner said. "At this point in the season, this kid is playing phenomenal basketball." Coquese Washington added 10 points and a franchise-record 11 assists in the Fever's fourth straight victory, also a club best. Indiana is 6-2 since acquiring Washington from Houston. Wendy Palmer, Nykesha Sales and Katie Douglas each scored 15 points for the Miracle. "It's exciting to have a chance to make the playoffs," Douglas said. "I didn't really get to be a part of it last year, so I really want to get back to the playoffs this year and be a bigger part of it."
