ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Thrashers agreed to terms with restricted free agent defenseman Yannick Tremblay on Thursday. The length or value of the contract was not revealed. Tremblay is fifth on Atlanta's all-time list and tops among defensemen with 67 points. He had nine goals, 15 assists and 47 penalty minutes in 66 games last season. "Yannick has grown with our franchise and he has helped shape our defensive corps and specialty teams," Thrashers vice president and general manager Don Waddell said. "He's made solid contributions from the blue line and throughout the community with us, so we're pleased to keep moving forward with him as an important part of the organization." The 26-year-old Tremblay is one of four remaining Thrashers selected in the 1999 NHL Expansion Draft. He has 27 goals and 55 assists in 265 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Thrashers.
