VENICE, Italy (AP) Excerpts from police transcripts of an alleged conversation March 23 between suspected Russian mobster Alimzan Tokhtakhounov (identified as A or Alik) and Olympic ice dancing champion Marina Anissina (identified as M). The transcript, obtained by The Associated Press, was translated by Italian police from Russian into Italian, and by the AP into English:

- Discussing the World Championships in Japan in March:

M: There are big scandals there too. ... There the Lithuanians lost (?) to Israel. My coach said that there have been some scandals, that haven't been proven true. Everyone is shocked.

A: Again?

M: There, the athletes raised a protest.

A: But yes ... the athletes will always continue to discuss, to disagree. ... The mess has begun! I think that you are the last champion of the Olympic Games, I think that ice dancing will be banned.

M: Probably figure skating, not the ice dancing.

A: Maybe you're right!

(MARINA ANISSINA is in Lyon, MARINA says that she won't participate in the Olympics anymore, that she'll go on tour in America. Then the two talk about her skating partner. ALIK advises her to change partners. They talk about MARINA's personal life...)

- Discussing their long acquaintance:

A: I've known your father since we were young.

M: I told him that you've known each other for a long time!

A: (Obscenity omitted) ... and then he made a request for me at the French government!

M: Yes, he said so ... (incomprehensible) documents, that you have, have something to do with the federation, with hockey ...

A: ... When something is not right ... my name always comes out ...

M: He came to my house that morning, I still had to get dressed. ... He told me to go with him right away. I asked him: "But what's happened?" ... He told me everything in the car ... The FBI was waiting for him there. ...

- Discussing judging:

M: Yes... the Russian judges had not put us in first place.

A: I don't know... others had put you ...

M: We won by one vote!

- Discussing Anissina's performance:

M: Yes ... I am very satisfied...

A: Yes ... don't even think about it... you got what you wanted, you won with your strengths, that's all, forget the rest.
