NEW YORK (AP) Oklahoma, coming off a Final Four appearance, and Villanova, which has one of the nation's highest-rated freshman classes, headline the field for the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Madison Square Garden.

The previous six editions of the event had four teams playing two nights in a tournament format. This year, eight teams will meet in two doubleheaders.

On Nov. 14, Syracuse will face Memphis, which won the NIT in March, in the opener, followed by Oklahoma against Alabama.

On Nov. 15, the opener will have Villanova against Marquette, followed by Texas facing Georgia.

All four games will be televised on ESPN2.

In last year's tournament, Arizona, which came in unranked, upset No. 6 Florida and No. 2 Maryland on consecutive nights.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program, created by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches exists to raise awareness and in turn, reduce cancer risk through education programs while raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Since 1995, the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic has raised over $2 million.
