BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics on Friday re-signed veteran forward Walter McCarty.

Terms were not disclosed.

An unrestricted free agent, McCarty averaged 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 56 games last season, his fifth with Boston. He was acquired from the New York Knicks on October 22, 1997.

The 6-10, 230-pound McCarty has career averages of 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in six NBA seasons.
