BOULDER, Colo. (AP) Jeremy Bloom joined his Colorado teammates for the first day of full-squad practice Saturday.

Bloom is challenging NCAA rules that prohibit him from playing receiver for the Buffaloes while earning money from endorsements he signed as a World Cup moguls skier.

A hearing on his request for an injunction is scheduled Monday.

"He said it was nice to have cleats in the ground," coach Gary Barnett said.

Bloom passed up his freshman season last fall to compete in the Olympics, where he placed ninth in the moguls competition.

He said it was "good to have my head spinning from the playbook instead of thinking about the lawsuit. I spent a year away from football, and it feels great to be back.

"I go to court next week, and hopefully I'll know more of what their position is and I'll make a decision. I just hope for a quick hearing so I can get back on the field."
