BOSTON (AP) Kristine Lilly scored in the 51st minute to give the Boston Breakers a 1-0 victory over the San Jose CyberRays on Saturday night.

Lilly has a goal or assist in a WUSA-record 10 straight games.

The Breakers (6-8-7) also became the first team in the two-year history of the league to finish a season unbeaten at home, going 5-0-5 at Nickerson Field.

They are a league-worst 1-8-2 on the road, however, which will keep Boston out of the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

The CyberRays (8-8-5), who won the WUSA championship last year, were eliminated from playoff contention when Atlanta beat Philadelphia 2-0 earlier Saturday.

Lilly scored her eighth goal on a rebound. Heather Aldama and Dagny Mellgren put shots on net that pulled goalie LaKeysia Beene out of position, and Lilly found the loose ball.

San Jose almost tied it in the 89th minute, but Sissi's goal was nullified by an offsides call.

Boston's Jena Kluegel stopped San Jose from getting the tying goal two minutes later by kicking the ball away from an open net after Pretinha beat goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc in the box.
