SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) Orientate, the heavy favorite, led all the way in a two-length victory over Say Florida Sandy in the $200,000 A.G. Vanderbilt Stakes at Saratoga Race Course on Sunday. Sent off at 1-2, Orientate paid $2.90, $2.60 and $2.10. Say Florida Sandy paid $4.50 and $3.10, while Multiple Choice, another three lengths back in third in the field of six, returned $3.90 to show. Orientate, a 4-year-old, has won his last three starts and is undefeated in four starts on the main track at seven furlongs or less this year. He ran six furlongs Sunday in 1:09 3-5. "I probably shouldn't get paid for this one but I will," said Jerry Bailey, who rode Orientate by hand most of the way and described the victory as "easy." In another race, multiple stakes winner Balto Star pushed his career earnings to $885,846 with a one-length victory over Krieger in a 1 1-16-mile race on the turf. John Velazquez rode Balto Star ($9.90), who was clocked in 1:39. Polish Miner was third.
