PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) Kendrick Office returned to practice Sunday, and to his place as the Buffalo Bills' starting left defensive end.

Office had missed a week of practice including the Bills' opening preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals after suffering a concussion during joint practices with the Cleveland Browns Aug. 2.

"It was hard to sit, and then to get my lungs back today," he said. "It was a pretty mild concussion, but they wanted to take precautions. They didn't want me to go out and injure myself."

Office's return meant that only guards Jerry Ostroski, who's on the physically unable to perform list, and Ruben Brown missed the practice because of injuries.

Head coach Gregg Williams said he expected Brown, who is recovering from a sprained left knee, back for Friday's home preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Buffalo made it through its 24-17 home loss to Cincinnati with no injury worse than rookie defensive end Grant Irons' cut chin. Irons also left at the end of Sunday's lone practice holding a patch over his right eye.
