NEW YORK(AP) Allison Feaster scored 18 points as the Charlotte Sting beat the New York Liberty 71-58 Sunday to stay in the hunt for the Eastern Conference's second playoff spot. The Sting (17-14) are on track for a showdown with the Mystics. Washington beat Cleveland 60-54 Sunday night to remain tied and will end the regular season Tuesday in Charlotte. The Liberty have already clinched the East, and both Charlotte and Washington are assured of playoff spots. "We've had our struggles on the road this year, but we know playoff-time is the time to play," Andrea Stinson said. "And we are underestimated when it comes to playoff time." Crystal Robinson scored 10 of her 16 points in the first half for the Liberty (18-13), who clinched the top playoff seed in the East with a win over Washington Friday. Tari Phillips added 11 points. Sparked by two 3-point plays each from Dawn Staley and Feaster, Charlotte went on an 19-3 run to start the second half and take a 53-35 lead. "We know the importance of playing at home, and it was a factor tonight and will be a factor against Washington," Feaster said. Stinson added 14 points for Charlotte and Staley had 11. The Liberty didn't make their second field goal of the game until Camille Cooper hit a turnaround jumper with 9:30 left in the first half. But Robinson followed with a layup and a pair of 3-pointers to keep New York in the game early. "We played terrible. It was embarrassing," Robinson said. "Having already clinched is just an excuse. Great teams come to play and come to beat people. We don't want to go into the playoffs losing." Charlotte Smith dislocated her right pinky finger four minutes into the game and did not return until the second half, when she scored all of her nine points.
