GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Al Sampson, the host of the "The Vince Lombardi Show" who got his "Big Al" nickname from the Green Bay coach, died Monday of cancer. He was 75. When a bout with throat cancer limited his sports anchor responsibilities, Sampson focused on Wisconsin's outdoors, including annual deer hunting specials and the weekly "Going Fishin"' show. Sampson served as a minesweeper in the U.S. Navy during World War II before going into broadcasting. He's survived by wife Lou, four children, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
