SALVADOR, BRAZIL - Lisa Arce and Holly McPeak just missed winning
their third FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event of 1997 as the
Women's Professional Volleyball Association tandem dropped a three-
set championship match to Shelda Bede and Adriana Behar of Brazil.
8/10/97 - Kirby and Reno win Evian Nationals
HERMOSA BEACH, CALIF. - Second-seeded Karolyn Kirby and Nancy Reno
won their second Evian National Championships title here Sunday
(August 10) by downing third-seeded Barbra Fontana and Linda Hanley
15-13 in the tournament finale.
8/03/97 - Arce and McPeak capture Evian Invitational
EAST QUOGUE, N. Y. - Top-seeded Lisa Arce and Holly McPeak captured
their fifth-straight "major" title on the Evian Women's Pro Beach
Volleyball Tour here Sunday (August 3) by winning the $50,000 Evian
Invitational on Tiana Beach.
7/13/97 - Masakayan and Youngs rally to capture Evian Open
CHICAGO, ILL. - Liz Masakayan and Elaine Youngs became the lowest
seeded team to win an Evian Women's Pro Beach Volleyball Tour event
as the 12th-seeded pair rallied to defeat top-seeded Lisa Arce and
Holly McPeak 16-14 in the finals of the $50,000 Evian Open
presented by Bravo Card here Sunday (July 13).

ATLANTIC CITY, N. J. - Second-seeded Karolyn Kirby and Nancy Reno
jumped to a quick 9-3 lead enroute to a 15-11 win over top-seeded
Lisa Arce and Holly McPeak to capture the $50,000 Evian Open
presented by the Atlantic City Hilton here Sunday.
6/17/97 - Arce/McPeak Extend Streak
EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. - Lisa Arce and Holly McPeak extended two
streaks last weekend (June 13-15) as the top-ranked Women's
Professional Volleyball Association tandem captured their third-
straight event title and increased its current winning string to 18
matches by capturing the $50,000 Evian Open on Mustang Beach in Las
Colinas at Irving, Tex.
