It must be nice to assemble a World Cup roster and be able to leave off two active former FIFA Players of the Year. But that's exactly what Brazil did Wednesday, naming its 23-man roster without both Kaka and Ronaldinho.

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has until June 2 to name his final roster, so should any issues arise he'll be able to make some last-minute moves.

The host Brazilians again boast a wealth of talent, led by Barcelona star Neymar. Both Ronaldinho and Kaka were longshots to make the roster, as the aging duo has been battling to grab national team roster spots for the past year or so.

Both players were left off Brazil's Confederations Cup-winning roster a year ago, which turned out to be a sure sign of what was to come. That is to say: something of a youth movement.

One interesting note about this uber-talented squad: it will be the first time in 20 years that Brazil will field a team without a World Cup champion on its roster. The Brazilians won the title that year.

Below is the full roster:

GOALKEEPERS: Julio Cesar (Toronto FC), Jefferson (Botafogo), Victor (Atlético Mineiro)

DEFENDERS: Dani Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Roma), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Maxwell (PSG), Thiago Silva (PSG), David Luiz (Chelsea), Dante (Bayern Munich), Henrique (Napoli)

MIDFIEDLERS: Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg), Hernanes (Inter Milan), Paulinho (Tottenham), Ramires (Chelsea), Oscar (Chelsea), Fernandinho (Manchester City), Willian (Chelsea)

FORWARDS: Hulk (Zenit), Neymar (Barcelona), Fred (Fluminense), Jô (Atlético Mineiro), Bernard (Shaktar Donetsk)
