France manager Didier Deschamps is concerned that perhaps a drone is spying on his side's training. Seriously. And, according to the Guardian, FIFA is investigating the matter.

According to Deschamps, a drone hovered above his team's practice Saturday ahead of its match with Honduras on Sunday.

"Apparently drones are used more and more," Deschamps said Saturday. "It's not up to me. FIFA handles this and has been carrying out an inquiry; we don't want any intrusion into our privacy. It's very hard to fight this these days."

Fair enough, though it seems highly unlikely someone is spying on the French side. Though one can empathize with France's feeling a bit on edge.

Four years ago, France embarrassed itself at the World Cup. A host of off-field problems led to a winless stretch and an early ticket home after reaching the final in 2006.

Deschamps has vowed to minimize distractions this time around. France has drawn into an extremely favorable group with Honduras, Switzerland and Ecuador. The French opened with a 3-0 win over Honduras.
