The 2014 World Cup has delivered more drama, upsets and nail-biting overtime action than any in recent memory. Amid it all the United States Men's National Team made a strong tournament run, escaping their "Group of Death" despite the odds seemingly stacked against them: The loss of star striker Jozy Altidore; the deflating last-second goal given up to Portugal. Soccer in the United States is as popular as it has ever been, thanks in no small part to the performance of the USMNT.

USMNT defenseman Geoff Cameron played a pivotal role in the team's success throughout this tournament. A Massachusetts native formerly with the Houston Dynamo of the MLS, Cameron took his talents across the pond in 2012 and now plays for English Premier League side Stoke City. He spoke to CBSSports.com about his experience on the global stage in Brazil, his thoughts on the future of soccer in the U.S., and his predictions for the final World Cup matches. Spoiler alert: The winners may be wearing orange.
