KONTIOLAHTI, Finland -- Martina Glagow of Germany won her second consecutive World Cup biathlon event Friday, edging Kati Wilhelm by 0.3 seconds in a 7.5-kilometer sprint event.
Glagow, who won the season-opening 15K Thursday, shot clean for the second straight day and finished in 21 minutes, 24.1 seconds for her 12th World Cup victory.
Glagow, who won the overall title in 2003, was a three-time silver medalist at the 2006 Turin Olympics.
Wilhelm, the defending overall champion from Germany, had one miss.
Tora Berger of Norway, who also shot clean, was a further 0.3 seconds back in third place.
After two events, Glagow tops the overall standings with 100 points. Simone Denkinger of Germany is second with 71 points and Anna Carin Olofsson of Sweden is third with 60.
Denkinger was ninth Friday, while Olofsson was 13th.
