The Yankees may have seven left-handed hitters and the wind is blowing out to right. Their last six wins have all been by two-plus runs. Max Fried has a 1.85 ERA his last seven starts.

DraftKings. I see some sneaky value on Max Fried to get a win today. The Yankees are, of course, heavy favorites to get the win at home against the Rockies, but we are getting plus odds on a very favorable pitching matchup of Fried versus Ryan Feltner. Fried was built up to 72 pitches in his last outing, and should be at close to 90 today - that will allow him to easily hit the requisite five innings needed for a win. I’ll trust the Yankee bullpen (David Bednar and Brent Headrick are both rested) to keep the lead. Feltner has pitched to a 5.36 ERA away from Coors, while allowing a .379 wOBA.

Analysis

DraftKings. After a one year stopover in DC, Deebo Samuel makes his return to the bay this season. He’ll enter a 49ers pass catching corps that’s riddled with injuries and question marks heading into Week 1, with George Kittle making his quick return from an Achilles tear, and Mike Evans and Christian McCaffery both dealing with soft tissue ailments this offseason. Deebo, a low average depth of target connoisseur, is likely to move around Kyle Shanahan’s offense giving Brock Purdy quick options. With the Rams sporting one of the better defensive lines the sport has seen, quick options will be en vogue for the 49ers.
