The 2021 BIG3 regular season is rapidly coming to a close, and with Week 7 now in the books, there is only one week of action remaining before the start of postseason play. Heading into Week 7, the league narrowed the field from 12 teams down to eight due to the surge of COVID-19 cases across the country, so there were only four total games this week.
In the first game, Tri-State rolled to a 51-37 win over the Killer 3's to move to 5-2 on the season. The loss dropped the Killer 3's to 4-3. Justen Dentnom led the way for Tri-State with 19 points and six rebounds, while Donte Greene had the game-high with 20 points and seven rebounds for the Killer 3's. In the second game, Trilogy improved to 5-2 with a tight 50-47 win over Power. Jarrett Jack paced Trilogy with 27 points and five rebounds.
The Ball Hogs were eliminated from postseason contention following their 51-44 loss to the 3 Headed Monsters. The BIG3's leading rebounder compiled a double-double in the contest, as Reggie Evans had 26 points and 10 boards in the Monsters' win. In the final game of the week, Trilogy cruised to their sixth win of the season with a dominant 51-19 victory over Ghost Ballers. Reigning league MVP Joe Johnson had 14 points and eight rebounds in the victory. With the win, the Triplets secured a spot for the 2021 playoffs, set to take place in the Bahamas.
