A look at the history of Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather and their trash talk
The two fighters exchanged social media jabs for over a year before making the fight official
Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather finally have a date. The two fighters are set to square off on Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena to settle the score in the boxing ring. McGregor, who has never fought in a professional boxing match, will step in with one of the best boxers of all time in Mayweather.
While it's shocking to think that these two will actually fight, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise based on their social media interactions over the last year and a half. It all started when Mayweather made a comment about McGregor having so much success because of his Irish heritage. It only escalated from there.
It reached a head on Wednesday when both their own announcements for the fight, McGregor more savagely than Mayweather.
