The Albany Great Danes are favored to win for the first time this season. They will take on the Eastern Illinois Panthers at noon ET Wednesday at McBrayer Arena. Both teams were wiped off the court in their previous games and will be looking to bounce back in a big way.

It looks like the Great Danes got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 86-61 walloping at the Kentucky Wildcats' hands on Monday. Albany was surely aware of their 28-point disadvantage in the point spread, but the foreknowledge did nothing to prevent the result.

As for EIU, it looks like they got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They took a serious blow against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels on Monday, falling 82-43.

The Great Danes are the favorite in this one, with an expected 6.5-point margin of victory. Those who got lucky with them against the spread on Monday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.

The losses put Albany at 0-5 and EIU at 1-4. A pair of offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Albany is ninth worst in college basketball in points per game, with only 59.6 on average. The Panthers have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 10th fewest points per game in college basketball, having accrued only 60 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
