Bill Clinton called John Calipari on Sunday to talk UK hoops
Just a former President calling John Calipari. No big deal.
Kentucky is starting to hit its stride this season, rolling past Providence on Sunday to start the month of December. The loss to Michigan State a few weeks ago is in the rear-view mirror, and the young Wildcats are starting to play together as a team. It’s a scary thought for opponents.
John Calipari’s team is entering a very difficult stretch in their schedule, though, with Baylor, Boise State, North Carolina, Belmont and Louisville coming up.
What better way to get an extra boost of energy than getting a call from President Bill Clinton?
I got a great call at 3 o’clock on game day yesterday from @billclinton. We spoke for about 20 minutes.— John Calipari (@UKCoachCalipari) December 2, 2013
He knows our team, he knows our ups and downs, and he knows where we’ve got to go. He really tried hard to make our game, which I appreciate— John Calipari (@UKCoachCalipari) December 2, 2013
. @billclinton also told me he wants to come to a game in Lexington. I hope he does so he can talk to my young team.— John Calipari (@UKCoachCalipari) December 2, 2013
It’s always good hearing @billclinton's voice. I appreciate him reaching out to say hello.— John Calipari (@UKCoachCalipari) December 2, 2013
