Buffalo has hired Bobby Hurley to replace Reggie Witherspoon, sources told CBSSports.com.
Hurley starred at Duke and has been on staff with his brother, Danny, at Wagner and at Rhode Island this past season.
Hurley helped lead Duke to national titles in 1991 and 1992 and was the Most Outstanding Player in the Final Four in 1992. A car accident derailed his NBA career. Hurley became involved with horse racing, but joined his brother, Dan, at Wagner.
When Dan Hurley left Wagner for Rhode Island last offseason, Bobby Hurley turned down the opportunity to replace his brother.
Witherspoon was 198-228 in his 14-year tenure. The Bulls were 14-20 this season, 7-9 in the MAC and lost to Kent State in the league quarterfinals.
