Bowling Green hires Miami assistant Michael Huger to replace Chris Jans

Miami assistant Michael Huger has reached an agreement on a six-year deal to become Bowling Green's next head coach, a source told CBSSports.com on Wednesday.

A formal announcement is expected Thursday.

Huger has spent the past eight years working for Jim Larranaga at both George Mason and Miami. This is the Bowling Green graduate's first job as a head coach. He's replacing Chris Jans, who was fired earlier this month after an incident at a local bar.
