Bracketology: Oklahoma makes big move with big victory
By beating Iowa State, the Sooners made the biggest jump of the many teams moving in Jerry Palm's latest projected bracket.
It's amazing what one big win can do. Oklahoma jumped from a "Play-In Game" to the top half of the bracket by beating previously unbeaten Iowa State on Saturday. Despite the loss, the Cyclones remain a No. 2 seed. In fact, there are no changes on the top two lines.
Meanwhile, two bad losses has Illinois dropping from a 7 seed to out of the bracket entirely.
Missouri was a victim of other teams doing well, plus its opponents not helping them. You won't see such big swings a month from now, when one game is a much smaller part of each team's total schedule.
Ohio State is the only at-large team in the bracket without a win over a team on my at-large consideration board, which is remarkable since it has eight top 100 wins. Delaware is the only team the Buckeyes beat that is in the field. That's why they dropped to a six seed in this bracket.
Michigan has played 7 top 100 opponents, but only one at home (Arizona).
