ESPN analyst Jay Bilas and a bunch of other folks who follow college basketball closely have noted that nobody has looked better and been more dominant than North Carolina through two weeks of this season.

I don't disagree.

As I noted late Wednesday, North Carolina is 7-0 with wins over Wisconsin, Oklahoma State and Chattanooga. All seven wins have come by at least 15 points. The Tar Heels' average margin of victory is 27.3 points. And they never trailed for a single second in the entire Maui Invitational.

That's strong, strong, strong.

So if voters rank North Carolina No. 1 in Monday's Associated Press poll, I'll completely understand. It'll make sense. But I personally do not like dropping highly ranked teams unless they do something to be dropped, and it's not like Kentucky and Villanova have been anything but awesome and impressive, too.

So the top three of the Top 25 (and one) will for now remain Kentucky, Villanova and North Carolina, and in that order. But let the record show I'm just as impressed with the Tar Heels as everybody else. I don't know if they'll win the third national title of Roy Williams' career this season. But I do know they look plenty capable.

The complete Top 25 (and one) is below.
