College hoops rankings: Kansas No. 1 in coaches poll, Villanova No. 1 in AP

The latest coaches poll is out, and the split continues. While Villanova is No. 1 in the AP, Kansas has a solid grip on the top spot here. Gonzaga, undefeated and ranked No. 1 at KenPom.com, is third and has three first-place votes this week.

Arizona gets the biggest jump, hopping up to ninth after its huge win at UCLA. Yet, the Bruins are still ranked ahead of the Wildcats, strangely enough. This is why polls can be so silly sometimes. Also silly: South Carolina and Florida are hanging on to their rankings, even when UNC Wilmington, Northwestern and Kansas State all played well enough last week to warrant a vault.

The biggest drop in the polls this week is West Virginia's plunge from No. 8 to No. 18. WVU fell at home to Oklahoma in overtime on Wednesday, then lost at Kansas State on Saturday.
