Danrad Knowles cleared to play right away for Houston
The NCAA gave Danrad "Chicken" Knowles the go-ahead to play immediately for Houston. He will have four years of eligibility.
Houston's Danrad "Chicken" Knowles has been cleared by the NCAA and will play Thursday vs. Texas-San Antonio, a source told CBSSports.com.
The 6-foot-10 Knowles is expected to be a major contributor for the Cougars, who will begin their first season in the American Athletic Conference.
Knowles redshirted last year and will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Houston is 2-0.
