What to Know
The Davidson Wildcats are 6-1 against the Duquesne Dukes since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Davidson and Duquesne will face off in an Atlantic 10 battle at 7 p.m. ET at Belk Arena. Both teams are strolling into their game after big wins in their previous games.
Davidson was fully in charge last week, breezing past the Johnson and Wales, CO Wildcats 106-64 at home.
Meanwhile, the UC Irvine Anteaters typically have all the answers at home, but last week the Dukes proved too difficult a challenge. Duquesne made easy work of UC Irvine and carried off a 76-54 victory. Among those leading the charge for Duquesne was guard Leon Ayers III, who had 24 points in addition to six rebounds.
Their wins bumped Davidson to 9-2 and Duquesne to 5-7. With both Davidson and Duquesne swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
