George Mason heading to the A-10
A-10 commissioner Bernadette McGlade has added George Mason to help ease the blow of losing Xavier and Butler, sources told CBSSports.com. An announcement is expected on Monday.
George Mason is heading to the Atlantic 10.
The league will lose Xavier and Butler next season to the new Big East, will also see Temple depart for the old Big East, and could also watch Dayton and Saint Louis bolt the following season.
Sources told CBSSports.com that George Mason and the A-10 will make a dual announcement on Monday.
George Mason went to the Final Four in 2006 after pulling the upset over UConn. Paul Hewitt replaced Jim Larranaga two years ago and the team was 19-14 this season and 10-8 in CAA play.
