One of the top graduate transfers on the market is Bucknell big man Nate Sestina. The 6-foot-9 and 245 pound power forward/center who is a native of Pennsylvania put his name in the transfer portal last week, and now he is moving forward in his recruiting process.

According to a source close to the situation, Sestina’s phone has been extremely busy.

“He has had about 50 schools reach out,” said the source. “Many, many of those schools were high-major programs.”

This past season Sestina averaged 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Sestina proved to be a threat both inside and out. He shot 38 percent from three, and 81 percent from the foul line, while also converting at a 60 percent rate from two-point range.

Those numbers led to Sestina garnering second team all-Patriot League honors.

With those numbers and accolades it is no surprise some of the biggest names in college basketball are interested, and Sestina is currently on his first visit.

According to Sestina, he will visit Kentucky on Monday.

At this point it is unknown if Sestina has other visit plans, but clearly the Wildcats are working to move forward in this recruitment with the feel that many of their top interior players will be departing the program after the completion of their season.
