What to Know
After two games on the road, the South Carolina Upstate Spartans are heading back home. They will take on the Brevard College Tornados at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday at G.B. Hodge Center. Both teams were wiped off the court in their previous games and will be looking to bounce back in a big way.
A win for the Spartans just wasn't in the stars on Tuesday as the team never even grasped a temporary lead. They were dealt a punishing 96-52 loss at the hands of the Tennessee Volunteers. Guard Nick Alves (15 points) was the top scorer for South Carolina Upstate.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 101-44, which was the final score in Brevard College's tilt against the UNC-Asheville Bulldogs five weeks ago.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
