Who's Playing
Howard Payne @ Texas-Arlington
Current Records: Howard Payne 0-1; Texas-Arlington 3-7
What to Know
The Texas-Arlington Mavericks will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will take on the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets in a holiday battle at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday at College Park Center. Both teams were wiped off the court in their previous games and will be looking to bounce back in a big way.
A win for the Mavericks just wasn't in the stars on Sunday as the team never even grasped a temporary lead. Their painful 70-50 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners might stick with them for a while. Texas-Arlington was surely aware of their 18-point disadvantage in the point spread, but the foreknowledge did nothing to prevent the result. The top scorer for Texas-Arlington was guard David Azore (15 points).
Meanwhile, Howard Payne took a serious blow against the Abilene Christian Wildcats on Sunday, falling 112-41.
Both teams will surely be fighting tooth and nail to get back into the win column after losses this week. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
